Fairies! Faeries! and more Fairies!

So I was inspired for today's post by another of my favorite Facebook pages, Freckles Fairy Chest.
Freckles runs her own business making awesome OOAK wearable art. She has Unicorn horns, head pieces, fae shoes, wings, well, I will quit boring you with descriptions and just show you a few photos.

Without further adieu, Freckles Fairy Chest:

I am so inspired by the colorful and absolutely stunning photos that she posts. She has so much talent and I totally urge you to go check out her page, she does some amazing giveaways as well.

As always my dears, all photos belong to their respective owners who created what is shown in the photos, I do not own these photos I am just promoting small businesses of creative people just trying to get by doing what they love. As a side note: Remember, small businesses thrive on their customers. If you know a small business owner and you love their stuff click share on Facebook or even just like. Being a small business owner is hard because yes, you could buy similar products from china on Ebay or at Walmart for cheaper prices, but remember those hats in china, were probably made in sweat shops by small children being paid pennies a week if even not to mention the horror stories of where Walmart's products come from. We are the proverbial small fish in a BIG ocean. I encourage you to google/bing something you like and see if you can find 5 small business pages that sell that item(s). If you do just throw them a like to show some support. Remember, bigger isn't always better.

Adorable little stocking cap!

Okay guys, I am headed off to my hooks and yarn, please remember as always, all the photos with the exception of the ones at the bottom are the property of their respective owners. Each shop owner has taken their own photos and made the creations themselves, I am just supporting their craft. Thanks so much to each artisan I featured tonight for sharing their creativity with the world. You are all absolutely inspiring!

Wedding Cake Toppers

As a tribute to the upcoming fall wedding season I decided to do my search on Etsy today with the keywords: Wedding Cake Toppers.

Below are some of the amazing works i have found along my search!

Absolutely LOVE this cake topper, as it is a little more truthful than the typical topper and if you can't have a sense of humor at the wedding, then you won't have one after either! There are tons more amazing cake toppers in sports teams etc in her shop here are a few more below
Here's a gender reversal for ya lol

NEXT:

Spartacarla has tons of men in uniform cake toppers which I think is absolutely awesome, here is one of my favorites, probably cause the bride is carrying as well.
Another amazing uniform set
This last one is definately my favorite as I can imagine that would be the setting of my wedding. I have always loved the more comical toppers to the traditional

Now here are a couple from random shops that I thought were absolutely adorable!

Very untraditional but way too cute not to love!

being that my dogs are like my children this is right up my alley!
Well you all know how much of a bird lover I am by now, I couldn't resist this gorgeous topper!
Gorgeous and simplistic, beautiful same sex topper

Okay, this is absolutely my favorite one and would probably end up being on my cake above all the rest, I absolutely LOVE it!

Okay folks, that is it for today's post, please don't forget to support small business. It is an important part of the economy, and though what you get may not cost $1 it is handmade, and made with love. So don't forget Etsy and many of the other sites when you are looking for that perfect gift or cake topper, or decorations.
